The Kentuckiana Regional Planning & Development Agency (KIPDA) is an association of local governments in a nine-county region of southern Indiana and north central Kentucky.

PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION DIVISION
Department of Local Government (DLG) will be presenting a County Officials training on February 25th 9:00-12:30 at KIPDA. All officials are invited, but newly elected officials are encouraged. The workshop will specifically deal with budgeting and services to help in the budget process. Registration can be found here on the DLG website.
Kentucky Association of Mitigation Managers (KAMM) is holding an all day regional training for Hazard Mitigation Planning on February 24th at KIPDA. Registration can be found here on the KAMM website.

DIVISION OF SOCIAL SERVICES
The Division of Social Services addresses issues as varied as the Consumer Directed Options program for disabled persons of all ages, to the Home Care program for frail elders in need of assistance in order to remain in their homes.
KIPDA also provides Health Promotion programs which provide education on healthy choices and lifestyles. Services are available to elders in the seven county area which includes Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble.

KIPDA Needs Assessment
The Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency (KIPDA), Division of Social Services is conducting a needs assessment for Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble counties. This needs assessment will help KIPDA determine the needs of older adults, caregivers and persons with disabilities. The information learned will help KIPDA plan their social services for the next 5-6 years. The needs assessment study has been approved by the University of Louisville IRB.
