Public Administration DivisionRegional Water Management CouncilThe KIPDA Regional Water Management Council is an advisory council to the KIPDA Board of Directors on issues pertaining to long-range water management planning, water/waste-water funding, and setting project prioroties. The Council was formed in January 2001 with the purpose of assembling government leaders, water districts, and municipality staff in effort to develop a regional water management plan. The Council's efforts are an attempt to comply with the water management planning provisions outlined in Senate Bill 409 (2000 session of the Kentucky General Assembly). The Council is comprised of members representing the seven Kentucky counties in the KIPDA region. Council members are chosen by the respective county's Water Management Council on which they serve. Regional Water Council meetings are held quarterly on the second Wednesday in the months of January, April, July, and October.
